Again, no disrespect intended, Director but can we humbly suggest that before you open new exhibits to the public that you check with us to ensure that no embarrassing errors creep in.

For instance, I suspect that you haven't actually noticed that you have placed this exhibit in the Bestiary... where as the actual content of these individual exhibits are people. Men.

Perhaps you are simply deploying your famous subtle sense of humour? Slyly implying that all men are beasts?

Still, few of us believe that you would undertake an action so likely to alienate a significant segment of your audience.

Would you?

Please notify us of your schedule for replacing this exhibit in the appropriate exhibition venue.

It is completely inappropriate of you to bring these trivial matters to the attention of my public. I think you are forgetting who's working for whom here.

I also find it highly suspect that you have time to sneak in here, leaving your sniping little comments, when you don't seem to be able to find time to attend a staff-meeting.

A staff-meeting that I had made very clear is compulsory for all members of staff.

I waited in that Boardroom for over an hour yesterday and not a single member of staff showed up. I accept that Janitorial is preoccupied with hunting down and re-confining the spongecats. The safety of the public must always be a high priority. But where was your department? And Inky-Blinky?

I have left repeated and frequent messages for you. You WILL attend a meeting in my office, with or without Inky.

And you are not, I repeat ARE NOT, to have any further involvement in exhibition preparation or deployment except at my specific instruction. Your position is entirely auxiliary NOT directorial. Or curatorial. Or advisorial.

We will, of course, be more than happy to meet with you. And we are more than content, as I think we have made abundantly clear, for you to take up the curatorial burden. We were simply trying to fill the abyss that your preoccupation with the missing armour and your publicity campaign had left.

Of course you WILL have to decide your priorities. If we attend a meeting with you, we MAY not have time to deal with these government regulations that we have just discovered.

The ones that say that for MoD to be recognised as a cultural institution it must be overseen by an independent group of industry and community leaders.

Not to mention the continuing investigations into poor Mr Musrum’s fate…

Just let us know what you'd prefer.
